The tangy lime flavor of this Halloween Lime Sherbet Punch is the trick to the Sherbet's sweet treat! Watch it bubble and fizz in the punch bowl as the soda and sherbet make a magical punch potion! It only takes a few minutes to make and is a fun crowd-pleaser.

Read on for what I used to make it and how you can customize it with what you have on hand.

This recipe was made for Halloween gatherings, but if you left out the gummy worms, the green color would also make it a great party drink for St. Patrick's Day or Christmas!

Ingredients to make Halloween Lime Sherbet Punch
    • thawed frozen limeade concentrate
    • lemons and limes
    • limeade juice
    • lemon-lime soda (sprite or 7Up)
    • lime sherbet

🎃 How to Make Halloween Punch

To make this punch is as simple as adding all the ingredients to your serving bowl, but I would suggest waiting to add the scoops of lime sherbet followed by the soda to the very end!

Add the thawed concentrate to your serving bowl and squeeze the juice of one lime and one lemon on top.

    Pour in the limeade juice.

    Add the lemon-lime soda.

Then, top with scoops of lime sherbet and watch it fizz!

Decorate the punch as you like! I kept it simple with fresh lime slices and gummy worms, but you could add things like candy eyeballs for an extra spooky touch!

    Substitutions

This punch is heavy on the lime flavor and you could swap the flavor of some of the liquids for a different one. The one thing I'd keep in mind is whether the substitution would alter the color of the punch if you want to keep it's green color.

    • Frozen Concentrate and Juice - instead of lime, try a lemonade or pineapple flavor
    • Soda - Sprite, 7UP, or a generic lemon-lime soda are good options for the soda base.

If you want to change the color of the drink, I think an orange soda, like Orange Crush or Sunkist, would taste good and pop against the lime sherbet. The cream in an orange cream soda could be a delicious variation!

How to Serve this Halloween Punch

Serve your Halloween punch in a large cauldron so it looks like a bubbling potion! Of course, make sure that it's made of a food-safe material. You could also use a punch bowl or large black mixing bowl! Use something that can hold about two liters of liquid.

If your serving bowl is smaller than that, keep the reserved liquids in a pitcher in the fridge (and the sherbet in the freezer) and refill the bowl as needed.

If you're worried about the scoops of sherbet melting, add a scoop of sherbet to each glass individually when it's time to serve and pour the rest of the punch on top!
