Line a baking sheet with wax paper
Place the candy melts in a microwave-safe mug or measuring cup and microwave for 30 seconds, stir, and continue to repeat in 30-second intervals until the melts are almost smooth. Stir to continue melting the candies until smooth.
Dip the strawberries in the candy melt, holding them by their green tops and submerging the strawberry until fully coated. Lift the strawberry out and let the excess chocolate drip back into the measuring cup. Place the strawberries on the prepared baking sheet to harden. Repeat until all strawberries are coated.
Melt the light brown candy melts in two thirty-second intervals, stirring in between. Transfer the melted candy into a zip-top bag with the corner cut off, or a pastry bag with a small round piping tip attached. Drizzle the light brown melt across the strawberries to create contrasting lines. Let the candy melt harden and serve!
- Start by dipping your largest strawberries first. As you dip, the amount of candy melt in the mug will lower and it will be harder to cover a larger strawberry than a small one towards the end.
- Melt the candy melts in a microwave-safe glass or mug. You want it to be wide enough that you can dip a strawberry in it, but the narrower it can be, the easier covering the strawberries with the candy will be.
- Make sure the orange coating has hardened before drizzling on the contrast. The first strawberries dipped should be hard enough to add the drizzle to by the time you’re finished dipping all the strawberries.
- You can also use any leftover orange candy melt to create the drizzled lines across the strawberries instead of the light brown candy melts. Or, skip this step completely
