- you’ll need about ¾ cup of cold milk before steaming with an espresso machine wand. The amount of cold milk may differ depending on how you steam or froth your milkTo make the Lavender Honey Syrup:
The syrup is made with dried culinary lavender, honey, and water. Add 1 cup of honey to 1 cup of water, and 3 tablespoons of dried lavender buds to a small saucepan over medium heat. Keep on medium heat until the honey has dissolved, stirring occasionally. Once dissolved, let the syrup sit in the saucepan for 30 minutes to infuse the flavors. Strain into a sealable jar or syrup bottle. Allow the syrup to cool before covering the container. How to froth your milk:
If you don't have an espresso steam wand, no worries! You can warm and froth the milk in other ways:- Use a milk frother
- Use an electic frothing wand
- Warm the milk either in the microwave or on the stove and then shake vigorously in a sealed mason jar
How to make this drink with coffee:
To make this drink using coffee instead of espresso, I'd recommend making it like a cafe au lait:- Brew coffee in your preferred method
- Add the syrup to your mug
- Fill your cup ½ - ⅔ full with hot coffee
- Top with steamed milk
